Sphere Fluidics is an established Life Science company which provides instruments and specialist consumables for the global pharmaceutical and academic research community. The company is growing quickly and we are looking for a highly motivated Logistics Coordinator to support the Operations team in this newly created role.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing & organising inventory, storage, and transportation of finished goods, consumables, and customer orders. Serving as the key point of contact for our customers, they will help provide a professional experience which aligns with our brand values.

Other tasks include receiving, unpacking, and documenting incoming shipments as a service to our internal team and acting as a subject matter expert for all Logistics related matters. Working collaboratively with other teams is important to ensure we provide the best possible experience for our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responding promptly to customer orders and enquiries.
  • Carry out shipping of finished goods, consumables, and customer orders.
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, export procedures or customer issues.
  • Serve as the in-house shipping expert and maintain relationships with our key distribution partners.
  • Organise and manage inbound deliveries, inventory and storage locations.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and report on saleable goods inventory levels.
  • Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure system records correlate.
  • Streamline and identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process.
  • Follow and further develop appropriate safety procedures for the warehouse.
  • Contribute to the wider Operations group with ad-hoc tasks and projects.


Education and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or in similar role.
  • Experience with inventory management beneficial.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience operating within an ISO9001:2015 environment is preferred.
  • Minimum A-level or equivalent educational experience.
