Title: Digital Marketing Specialist

Location: Granta Park, Cambridge UK / Hybrid

Salary range: £30,000 – £38,000 per annum

Functional area: Marketing

Reports to: Digital Marketing Manager

Sphere Fluidics, a leader in single cell analysis and isolation technologies, seeks a passionate and results-oriented Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing team.

 

About Sphere Fluidics:

Our innovative platforms are built on scientific and engineering expertise spanning over a decade. Originally spun out from the University of Cambridge, we specialize in helping researchers find their most critical cells. Leveraging our picodroplet microfluidic technology, we offer high-throughput solutions for single cell isolation and analysis across various applications, including biologics discovery, cell engineering, and synthetic biology. The Role:

Do you love all things digital? Are you looking to take the next step in your career by contributing creative ideas and helping attract customers in the rapidly evolving life sciences industry? If so, we want you to join our expanding team where you can assist in the execution of digital marketing tactics and play a key role in enhancing brand awareness, increasing customer engagement, and supporting the lead generation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and send regular email campaigns to engage the life sciences community and promote our products.
  • Develop and post engaging content across social channels tailored for scientific audiences.
  • Support digital campaigns, including Google AdWords, to drive lead generation and product awareness.
  • Update and optimize the corporate website, focusing on SEO enhancements and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR).

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience with social media publishing tools (e.g., Loomly, Sprout Social).
  • Proficiency in maintaining and updating corporate websites using content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and tools (e.g., SemRush, Google Analytics).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS for web updates and email formatting.
  • Ability to adhere to brand guidelines and create graphics that fit within the established brand identity.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Strong analytical skills, with an interest in using data to optimize marketing efforts and improve performance.
  • Passion for learning, detail-oriented, customer-centric.
  • Able to pivot between creative content development and data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced, scientific environment.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Account Engagement, Pardot) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with scientific marketing or content creation for research communities is a plus.
