Cyto-Mine® Chroma is a multiplexing-capable, fully-automated single cell analysis platform that can encapsulate, analyze, sort, and dispense viable single cells.
Leveraging picodroplet technology, single cells are encapsulated in tiny volumes of liquid (e.g. cell culture media). Cyto-Mine® Chroma automates incubation of the cells and cellular output, proliferation, and/or interactions can be measured using standard fluor-based assays.
The automated system screens millions to tens of millions of viable single cells and simple controls allow users to select and dispense targeted desired cells for downstream outgrowth.

Built on picodroplet technology
At the heart of our platforms are picodroplets. These are tiny droplets of aqueous fluid in an oil carrier fluid (‘single aqueous’), or an aqueous core surrounded by an oil shell in an aqueous carrier fluid ( ‘double aqueous’).
Each picodroplet is used to encapsulate a cell. This provides an ultra-miniaturized test tube, containing media, reagents and cells, that allows large-scale experiments at the single cell level.
These droplets can then be processed to build complex workflows to find the cells you care about.
