Title: Inside Sales Specialist – Consumables  

Location: Cambridge, UK / Hybrid role with at least 2 days a week in the office 

Job Type: Full Time / Permanent  

Salary Range: £32k – £35k plus commission 

Travel required: Limited travel might be required  

Functional Area: Commercial  

Reports to: Director of Sales

What you’ll do 

  • Primary responsibility is to sell the entire range of Sphere Fluidics consumables and reagents, to support the revenue growth associated with our main instruments – Cyto-Mine ® and Pico-Mine ® 
  • Maintain consistent contact with our existing customer base to ensure they remain fully aware of our new consumables products and upsell where possible 
  • Take an active role in identifying prospects and generating leads and sales for existing and new products 
  • Find relevant new prospects via our existing contacts in Hubspot, LinkedIn, MonoCl/SciLeads, conference attendee list and other databases 
  • Use social selling and insight selling methods to generate leads to feed into the sales funnel 
  • Record customer interactions, leads, and opportunities into Salesforce.com & ensure accuracy of customer data 

 

What we’re looking for 

  • Previous sales experience in life science industry is essential  
  • Experience using systems such as Salesforce.com and LinkedIn Sales Navigator 
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers 
  • Ability to work on own initiative and achieve targets  
  • Good organisational skills  
  • Proactive, self-starter and a good team player 
  • Degree in Life Science
